At Rest

Three generations are interred here at Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane. The first being a settler in 1870 from County Cork, Ireland.

I was amazed and saddened at just how many children of very tender years lay in family plots and how many men died in their 20’s and 30’s. Life must have been very hard back then.
